Temporary Directory

Currently /tmp/ is hardcoded in common/upload.php as the temporary directory to stage file uploads. This technique is not cross platform, and doesn't work well for those who specify a different temp directory (nevermind Windows users).

It looks like there may be some PHP functions that can resolve a path to the preferred temporary directory (sys_get_temp_dir) that might be worth looking into.

    • Introducde an ImageUtility module to resize images system-wide. Scales to fit height and width if needed or stretches the image to match exact dimensions.

    • Wired up Template#display to use the image utility.

    • Wired up Template#preview to use the image utility, taking height and width as params. Setting the hide_fields param to true (&hide_fields=true) will not render the fields on a preview.
