64-bit (MD5?) error
Reported by Brian Michalski | September 14th, 2009 @ 04:09 PM
Got this error after (attempting) to set it as my screen saver.
I’m using a valid full-version of Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit. (i.e. not pirated, not beta)
RPI provided T61p. Non-RPI image (obviously).
On campus, on 802.1x.

Got this error after hitting “Preview”

Screen Saver Settings allowed me to hit “ok” without throwing another error.
Upon re-entering the settings window, it still has Concerto as the screensaver, but immediately throws another error.
(It appears to be the same as the first one)

Annnd after waiting for the computer to idle, when the screen saver should have come on it threw another error.
This one appears to be the same as error #2.

I postulate that a 64-bit version of Windows uses a special 64-bit md5 function which is triggering this error all the time. The cache is checked for every image load, explaining why it was happening everywhere minus the settings window.

I loaded the screensaver up on my 64-bit Windows 7 machine and was unable to reproduce in the current development build. Maybe this was fixed in a .NET update.
