Graphic upload doesn't work under Rails 3.1

When uploading graphic content (jpg,png) under Rails 3.1, the object creation succeeds, but the graphic itself is never properly uploaded. I imagine this is due to some bit of the upload-related stack not being Rails 3.1 compatible.
